Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is at the moment two years through the four-year agreement he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the maiden major honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would certainly contemplate extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
